Our History

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) was chartered on August 18, 1966 in the midst of the Vietnam Conflict due to the need for low-cost financial services for the troops and their families stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. From the original seven members and an original investment of $35.00, AACFCU, now 48 years old, has developed into a full-service financial institution with over 113,000 members worldwide and more than 20 branches in Southeast Alabama, the Emerald Coast of Florida and the Mobile Bay area.

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution. Its purpose is to maximize member benefits through cost-effective financial services. Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union endeavors to expand while maintaining financial soundness and to promote the principles of the “Credit Union Movement” in the local, national and international communities.
