Our Story

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) was chartered on August 18, 1966 in the midst of the Vietnam Conflict due to the need for low-cost financial services for the troops and their families stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. From the original seven members and an original investment of $35.00, we are now over 50 years old and have developed into a full-service financial institution with over 98,000 members worldwide and 22 branches in Southeast Alabama, the Emerald Coast of Florida and the Mobile Bay area.

During 2016, we celebrated our 50th anniversary with our members. From member appreciation days with cookies and lemonade to social media contests, we had a year full of fun. We are excited about the next 50 years!

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution. Our purpose is to maximize member benefits through cost-effective financial services. We endeavor to expand while maintaining financial soundness and to promote the principles of the “Credit Union Movement” in the local, national and international communities.
